This is very important. The host refers to the storage unit where your content lives. When you website is searched, the browser will fetch your website content from your website host. Now, when you have only newly launched your website, a basic hosting will suffice. This is because you do not have that much traffic heading your way. As you website gains recognition and your traffic increases, you would need to upgrade to advanced hosting to accommodate the number of visitors to your site.
